Summer Nimmons, LMSW

Summer Nimmons is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with experience in outpatient therapy, correctional settings, and multidisciplinary systems of care. She works with individuals navigating trauma, substance use, co-occurring mental health disorders, and complex life transitions and has served on specialty court teams, including felony drug court and veteran treatment court.

Summer’s clinical focus includes co-occurring disorders, trauma, and relational patterns, and she uses evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Reconstructive Therapy (IRT), attachment-informed care, and nervous-system regulation strategies. She is especially committed to serving veterans and individuals impacted by complex trauma and believes effective therapy balances compassion with accountability.

Outside of her professional work, Summer enjoys spending time with her daughter, four dogs, and nine goats. She also loves paddleboarding, walking on the beach, being a mother, and advocating for those in need.
